I think calling out Flappy Bird for alleged theft of intellectual property either shows someone is either a) completely oblivious about mobile games or b) pretending to be. There are hundreds if not thousands of games of questionable origin and Flappy Bird is far from the worst. As another person working on mobile games I was definitely jealous to see such a simple game do so well. On the other hand, after more thought, it is good to know that in the world of card battlers, strategy MMOs, and match-3 games that there is still room for something as stupid as Flappy Bird. I take comfort in being shown that people do not want complexity or advanced graphics. The game isn’t even all that great as far as games go but critical praise for just about any mobile title is rare.
